A Call For Nominations

 

CPSC invites Do No Harm VIII award nominations according to the following criteria:

Awards are given to individuals, groups or organizations whose patient safety projects have demonstrated leadership and innovation in improving patient safety within Colorado. Consideration for an award is based upon specific activities that establish an individual, group or organization as a leader in safe patient practices through:

Promotion of cultural change that encourages continuous improvement in patient safety,

Leadership in the implementation of proactive strategies to improve patient safety, and

Application of evidence-based improvement methods with empirical measurement of the results.

Please submit a one page abstract with description of the project and/or person being nominated electronically to Awards@coloradopatientsafety.org


The due date for acceptance of award applications is September 1, 2008.

Awards will be presented at the Do No Harm VII Conference on Friday, November 14, 2008.

Do No Harm VI: "Tools to Improve Patient Safety"  November 10, 2006

This year's Conference was held Nov. 10, 2006. Dr. Brent James was our keynote speaker this year.  For those of you not familiar with Dr. James, he is a highly respected expert in clinical quality improvement and serves as Executive Director for Intermountain Health Care for Healthcare Delivery Research in Salt Lake City.
